Workshop & Preparatory Class

Junior Preparatory Class - Tel Aviv Studio
Aimed at young people aged 16-18 (high school juniors and seniors), this class is held twice a week for four academic hours for an entire year. Through hands-on practice, students gain an initial exposure both to the language of the theatre and to acting itself, developing body and voice and getting acquainted with the various elements of the actor's work. Previous experience is not mandatory -- but interest, enthusiasm and curiosity are vital. During the course of the year, students attend theatre productions. Concentrated workshops may be added during Chanukkah and Passover school vacations.

Senior Preparatory Class - Tel Aviv Studio Aimed at the 18-23 age group, this class, consisting of 15 students, is held twice a week for six hours for an entire academic year. Subjects taught include acting, improvisation, corporal expression, speech therapy, reading and diction. Teachers and directors are from the Studio. This class is suitable for potential professional actors who are possible candidates for the three-year curriculum.

Acting Workshop - Jerusalem Studio
Aimed at people up to 30 years of age who love theatre and wish to devote some time to it, this class is held twice a week for four academic hours per session. Instructors are members of the Studio's teaching faculty. Participants train as actors and prepare scenes from plays. This workshop may be helpful as preparation for the Studio's entrance exams.

Junior Acting Workshop - Tel Aviv Studio
Aimed at theatre-loving youngsters and taught by professional actors, this workshop is held once a week for five hours. Participants learn stage acting, movement, musical expression, and camera acting. They also perform scenes from plays.
