The application procedure is as follows:
* Interview
held at the beginning of October when the applicant registers and his qualifications are checked
* Personal Audition
held about two weeks after the date of registration
Since the Interview, the applicant has been preparing two short scenes with different characters from plays of his choice. He performs these scenes at his Personal Audition, which lasts for about 45 minutes. Beginning each November for the coming school year, auditions are held by Nissan Nativ in Tel-Aviv and Arik Eshet in Jerusalem.
* Two-Day Workshop Examination
held with at least two weeks prior notice to participants
For two days, Studio teachers work with groups of 16-18 candidates from morning to evening for approximately 20 hours. At the end of the Workshop, the names of those who have passed to the third and last stage are announced.
· Concourse-Final Stage
held in August, at least three weeks before the commencement of the new class
Here, candidates compete for the Studio's available places. They perform their pieces before the Studio's teachers and undertake group and individual work. At the end of the day-long competition, candidates are informed as to whether they have been accepted to the Studio.
