Special  Projects

As part of the curriculum, the Studio administers these special projects: * workshops and master-classes with famous teachers and performers from abroad; separate workshops are held for professional actors * training for cinema acting (in cooperation with Camera Obscura, the school for cinematography in Tel Aviv) * participation in theatre events, such as the Acco Festival, the Israel Festival, the Festival for Children's Theatre in Haifa, and international theatre events * a workshop, in cooperation with the Yiddishpiel Theatre, designed for professional actors wishing to train for acting in Yiddish * workshops, in cooperation with the Israel Defence Forces Theatre, for soldiers serving in the unit * one and two-day workshops designed for high-school students throughout the country participating in theatre-oriented curricula at school Projects in the planning stage include: * A three-year school for stage directors, in cooperation with the Gesher Theatre, aimed at drama-school graduates up to 35 years of age with at least 3 years of practical theatre experience * A one-year course for assistant-directors, stage-directors and technical stagehands * A nationwide initiative aimed at discovering young talents * A center for interpersonal communication * Production of short films in co-operation with cinema schools
